Iluka Bluff looking north towards Frazers Reef - Bundjalung National Park

Bundjalung National Park stretches from Evans Head to Iluka and protects expanses of open beach and coastal heath land. There are four main visitor areas accessed from separate locations along the Pacific Highway:

Gummi Garra Picnic Area near Evans Head is an Aboriginal site adjacent to the Evans River.

Black Rocks Camping Area south of Woodburn has great beach fishing access, with canoeing and swimming in the freshwater of Jerusalem Creek.

Woody Head Camping Area near Iluka has a relatively high level of facilities including cabins, hot showers and a kiosk. Its protected location and calm waters of Woody Bay make it a favourite with families (Bookings in advance are advised). Vehicular beach access is available at Shark Bay, just north of Woody Head.

Iluka Bluff Picnic Area has a walking track to a lookout which gives spectacular views over the rainforest and coast. It offers access to Iluka's main swimming beach (patrolled during the summer holiday season).

For further information on Bundjalung NP, visit the National Parks & Wildlife website.
