THE WORD is out. Yamba may be a small coastal town but it packs a big punch when it comes to showing off community talent and a flair for the imaginative.
Attracting a bevy of performers who are eager to join the party, Yamba’s own Surfing the Coldstream Festival is a big hit with the crowds and planning for this year’s event, to be held on October 20, 2012 is already underway.
Nestled in high above Main Beach, Flinders Park will again play host to the free cultural and roots based event that last year captivated an audience of up to 4000 people of all ages. Without a doubt it’s one of Clarence Valley’s most spectacular festival sites and as the sun goes down, the carnival vibe will once again light up the natural amphitheatre.
Last year’s highlights include north coast’s own Spaghetti Circus, and Australian music talent The Mouldy Lovers, King Tide, and the Magic Bus. The event featured local art installations, roving entertainment, sumptuous food featuring local produce.
This year will offer up new surprises, new talents, and new opportunities for explore the fun side of Yamba. Hope to see you there.
