Nymboi-Binderay National Park follows the
Nymboida River on its journey down from the Dorrigo Plateau towards
Grafton and the coast. The river bisects the park creating
sheer-sided and rugged granite gorge country where raging rapids are
interspersed with still pools.
There are four visitor areas dotted throughout
the park. Closest to Grafton is the Junction Camping Area, at the
junction of the Nymboida and Little Nymboida Rivers. The Cod Hole
and Platypus Flat camping area are located further upstream, along
with the Norman Jolly Memorial Grove Picnic Area where a walk
through ancient Tallowwood and Brushbox trees showcase local old
growth forest. |
