Susan Island Nature Reserve is home to thousands of flying foxes
that roost on the island to raise their young and feed in nearby
forests during summer. The island has a small wharf and is
accessible only by boat. There is a short walking track through
the reserve on the western end of the island which takes you through
the lowland rainforest remnant and beneath the bat colony. |
