The museum was built onto the School of Arts, funded by a bicentennial grant. Relics of the gold mining days, the early timber industry and old china pieces are featured. There is an entertainment corner displaying radios from the 1920's, an early film projector and gramophone.

 

The museum is open each Wednesday from 9am to 11am. Visits can be arranged at other times.
